Adobe Photoshop is used to edit images and is also used for graphic design purposes. Some of the strengths of the Adobe Photoshop software are that you have the ability to work with layers. When you are working with layers you can use the layer-masking tool which allows you to be able to see multiple images at once meaning you could have three different images of a cat and be able to see all of the images through each other if you lower the opacity of the top two layers. You can also use the layer-masking tool to be able to see some of an image through another image. For example, you could have three images of a cat sitting in different places on a picnic table and use the layer masking tool to be able to see the cat in all three spots at once.

We spent the majority of our time in class working with Adobe Photoshop. I personally picked up on the skills needed for Illustrator faster than the ones needed for Photoshop. I personally think my Photoshop skills only improved a little bit from the first time we used it to the last. I think that this is because I was already used to Illustrator and it was hard to get used to something else. I also think that this is because I understood Illustrator better and knew the tools better than I understood or knew the tools in Photoshop. Because of this I stuck to my comfort zone when creating projects in Photoshop instead of branching out and trying any more challenging projects.
